Mazda 323 (Protégé): A Legend Among Us

July 29th, 2006

The Mazda 323 was a subcompact car produced by Mazda between 1976 and 2003. In the United States it was originally known as the GLC and finally in 1990 it became the classic Protégé.

Interestingly, the American 323/Protege was more cost effective to purchase than its competition; such as the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, and Daewoo. A top 10 recommendation among most US car magazines, the Protégé is widely known for not only its spirited handling, but also its reliability.

Mazda 626 from A to B

July 28th, 2006

Debuting in 1979, the Mazda 626 had a long life of ups and downs. In 1986, the GT model also known as the “turbo” was released. Mazda 626 1986 troubleshooting for that year proved rather difficult with the new engine design, but was easily cured the next year. For Mazda no fuel usually meant a bad fuel pump relay, but the 1989 626 Mazda fuel pump relay was the most troublesome of the years. But chances are if you are looking at that model today it has most assuredly been replaced.

A Tribute to the Mazda Tribute

July 26th, 2006

The Mazda Tribute is a small crossover SUV based on the Mazda 626. The Tribute debuted in 2001, offering both front and all-wheel drive. The 2001 Mazda Tribute gear ratio offered crisp off the line response that would satisfy even the staunchest of performance guru. Of course the Mazda Tribute tuning performance it received at the factory helps out a lot with those of the line pulls; but you wouldn’t know it with its smooth driving capabilities and quiet ride. Looking over the Mazda Tribute gallery of available styles and colors I am quite impressed with all the options. One especially nice feature, albeit rather small is the Mazda Tribute bumper panel insert which gives the tribute its smooth sporty appearance above the other cross-over SUV’s in its class.

The Mazda Test Drive

July 15th, 2006

I you are itching to pursue the new car test drive: Mazda CX-7 challenge, or take an older Mazda car from a used lot out on a spin you are going to need to understand the history of Mazda to properly prepare yourself. The first thing you need to know about Mazda used cars, is that their greatest asset is reliability, economy, and price. These cars were not built to be sporty in those eras as they were more for the economy market. Of course today’s Mazda new cars can be rather sporty indeed compared to the used Mazda cars of yesterday. A lot of transformation has occurred in the Mazda market over the years and the sorts of drivers that look to Mazda are a bit more performance prone than they once were.

New Car review: Mazda CX-7

July 14th, 2006

One of the best cross over SUV vehicles you can drive for under $209.0/day. The Mazda CX-7 is sure to fit your SUV all terrain needs of the urban byways as well as your family toting necessities to boot. But what exactly is the CX-7 like to drive; let’s find out as we open- test drive: Mazda CX-7. Mazda CX-7 testing would be thought to be done on the family front rather on the performance track, as of course this is exactly what a crossover SUV is engineered to satisfy for its customer. But in this one case the Mazda CX-7 reviews will have to make an exception, as the CX-7 is rather somewhat of an all-terrain performance vehicle. The Mazda CX-7 review of itself uses the term “soul of a sports car” to describe the feel that the CX-7 was meant to deliver.

Lucky Number 7: Mazda RX-7

July 12th, 2006

By far one of the best sports cars “out of the box”, the 1984 Mazda RX7; wait, make that the 1988 Mazda RX7, no, I mean the 1993 Mazda RX7. Heck, any Mazda RX7 for sale should be picked up immediately because they are all pieces of gold as far as us performance car enthusiasts are concerned. Why is this car so great you are probably asking if you are not in the know of the highly respected RX-7?

3’s Company with the New Mazda 3

July 11th, 2006

The all new Mazda 3 is proving to the public that good things do actually come in 3’s. Well, I guess this isn’t the first time that Mazda has proven this to us as we take a look back into the history books of Mazda. The Mazda MX 3, with the lowest displacement V-6 almost in history (1.8 Liter) was capable of a 136 mph top speed and 0-60 straight away in 8.5 seconds. Perhaps Mazda has always known that three was not a crowd.

The Mazda RX-8: What a Sport Car Should Be

July 10th, 2006

Looking for a little Mazda RX8 information? You have come to the right place. The Mazda RX8 car has had quite a short history in retrospect, but has grown rather nicely over the years into what most would say a sports car should be. Beginning with the 2001 Mazda RX8 was when we were first introduced to this beauty; even today the 2001 would make a great used Mazda RX8. But it wasn’t for another two years until the production of the 2003 Mazda RX 8 would show that a true legend was upon our door. It was at this point that Mazda RX8 clubs began to pop up all over the US, and Mazda was in the eyes of performance car enthusiasts.

Want muscle? Try the Mazda 6

July 8th, 2006

What could possible be better than the 2005 Mazda 6; how about the 2006 Mazda 6. I personally did not know a whole lot of information about Mazda 6 speed until I joined in on one of the new popular Mazda 6 forums on the Internet. The Mazda 6 reviews I found were truly incredible; the 06 Mazda 6 is truly a well engineered piece of machinery that Mazda should truly be proud of. But, let us get to the good stuff here, as I prepare to lay upon you my very own Mazda 6 review which I accumulated out of several different sources on the internet as well as a few personal conversations with their owners.

Mazda - born to be wild

July 5th, 2006

Zoom, zoom, zoom… Do you remember the old Mazda RX-7 or the ever popular autocross champion Mazda Miata? Mazda cars have always focused on exhilarating performance, as it is in fact the hallmark of their brand. Mazda was actually the first to put the performance benefits of Wankel’s rotary engine to work in consumer production vehicles; now today the Renesis rotary engine which is found in the amazing new Mazda RX-8 has the title of International engine of the year.
